Panama City Beach Skywheel Project

SSMC has had the privilege of working on the new Panama City Beach SkyWheel project. SSMC performed the initial Boundary and Topographic Survey and provided Dutch Wheel with a high precision As-Built Survey of the bolt alignments and foundation piers for the wheel’s structural framework. We are currently working on additional topography and an existing condition As-Built Survey for the civil engineer. Once construction is complete, SSMC will provide a Final As-Built Survey of the site.

Field Staff Technicians

Survey Instrument Operators
High School Diploma or equivalent required, along with 3-4 years experience in the survey industry. FDOT Experience will be preferred, but not required. Knowledge of all types of survey equipment would be favorable.

 

Survey Party Chief
High School Diploma or equivalent required along with a minimum 8 years experience in the survey industry. FDOT Experience will be preferred, but not required. Knowledge of all types of surveys and programs to include AutoCAD and/or Micro Station.

Survey CADD Technician - Minimum 5 years Survey CADD experience. Must posses strong organizational skills with experience in FDOT and/or Land Development project experience. Experience in multiple CADD software platforms preferred to include Civil 3D and traditional Auto-CADD platforms.

Colors of Autism

SSMC sponsored and participated in the Colors of Autism 5K and Fun Run on April 21. The Colors of Autism 5K/Fun Run was a fundraising event for Chipola Area Autism Resource Center (CAARC) a 501c3 non-profit organization serving families in Jackson, Holmes, Washington, Calhoun and Liberty Counties.

 

NEW OFFICE LOCATION - MARIANNA

SSMC Visits Lockhart and Rock Lake Middle Schools

In conjunction with National Surveyors Week, Southeastern Surveying and Mapping Corp. (SSMC) participated in Presenting Professional Surveying and Mapping as a career to Lockhart and Rock Lake Middle Schools on March 27^th and 28^th.  James Mazurak, PSM and Patrick Phillips, GISP from the Orlando office of SSMC, along with, Lenora Spence, Outreach Coordinator from Florida Department of Agriculture, visited the two schools.  James explained about Surveying and Mapping using videos, slides and personal experiences, while Patrick physically demonstrated his drone skills in the school yards.  This was part of the ongoing community involvement and education that the SSMC staff takes pride in being involved in with students ranging from Elementary School on up to College.
